An "Ice-Breaking Cold Call" is a type
of sales opener that allows you to instantly warm up your cold call. Below are
two example of an ice-breaking cold call:
"(First name of prospect), this will
be the most enthusiastic call that you take today!"
"(First name of prospect), this will
be the most important call that you take today!"
When you use these two opening lines make sure that
you sound very enthusiastic and confident over the telephone. Nine times out of
ten you will hear your prospect smile and say, "Oh really, why is
that?" You then smile on the phone and say your name and company and the
reason for your call. Why does this work? Because great attitudes are
contagious that's why! Try it because it really works!
